Every year – usually the last weekend of July – I put on what I like to think of as a mini Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in London: the Balham Free Fringe.

For three days I take over The Bedford, a gigantic and wonderful pub in Balham, and I programme and host a ton of shows that some of my favourite acts are taking up to the Fringe that year.

Every single act on the bill is someone I think is interesting, funny and unique. I hand-pick the lineups, For Your Pleasure.

In total there’s three rooms of comedy, over three days, which gives you around about 60 hours of shows to see. And, best of all: the entire thing is free! See as many shows as you like, and pay whatever you think the weekend was worth to you as you leave.

Every show is a work-in-progress – but with the Edinburgh Fringe starting only a week later, you get to see the shows for free when they’re 99% ready to go!
